For fun film Friday i did a dialogue between Geoff and his wife. I hope you like it!

In silent reading this week i was reading a book called the revenge of magic. I haven’t finished the book but what has happened so far is the main character is called Forsythe Fitzgerald(fort) and his dad died when they were in Washington D.C and a giant freaky monster attacked. He was staying with his aunt but then got recruited to something like a magic school and the principal is someone called Dr.Oppenheimer.

Every Friday we watch a short episode and then write about it. I decided to write a formal complaint from a neighbour.

I just finished wolf girl 4 and it was a really good book. There are still more books  in the series though! i think they go up to to number 9! I will have to go to the library sometime. Wolf girls’ name is Gwen(strange name) and she can talk to wolves which i think is awesome cause wolves are my favourite animals ever. The link is for some of the books. The books are by Anh do and she does lots of cool books. She did this series called Skydragon and i can proudly say i’ve read them all.

Pizza is my absolute favourite food in the world and i didn’t know what to blog about so i thought why not do one about pizza?

Here are some cool/strange facts about pizza:

Wind chimes is the second part to hushed.

I feel like wind chimes is the 3 part of hushed because when i started it i got the feeling that there was a huge bit of the story i had missed out on because one minute their hanging out with freaky kids an muse is telling Tre to run the next both Muse and Tre are running through the forest to escape the voids. Anyway what happens is they find Tres village but it is burnt to the ground. They find Tre`s dads boat and hop in and paddle up a stream to a place that Tre’s family found and Tre finds wind chimes that his mother made. Hence the name

Last term for social studies we had to look into problems in NZ and around the world and then research about it to come to a conclusion. Some people did a poster but i did a google slide. Here it is!

This week I read an article on kiwi kids news about whether we should keep pets and it has made me quite confused and unsure whether we should keep pets. Here are some of the reasons that the articles said about why we should release them:

1.It’s not what the animal chooses

2. They probably don’t enjoy dry food

3. They almost certainly would prefer that we didn’t decide whether or not they can have offspring

4. They would like to be able to choose themselves when to go for walks

Here are some reasons that we came up with about why we should keep them:

1. In New Zealand a lot of our bird species would go extinct with cats and dogs as well as possums and rats and stoats

2. Some species of dog would go extinct from bigger dogs

3. Dogs might attack you. You could be walking to school and a dog would come out of nowhere!

Some cats are basically wild anyway but something that the article pointed out was that while this generation of pets couldn’t be released on account of not knowing how to survive because we spoil them,the next generation could.

In reading time this week we read a story called Hushed. It’s a story from School journal-May 2017 and it comes in parts. We read the first part and basically it’s a dystopian story where there is way too much control.  So far we think that the kids are brainwashed by adults so the adults can keep control because all the kids do at school is build straight white towers. They still talk and laugh and tease like normal kids ,but ,no kid who was still sane would think building straight white towers was normal. there is also this thing were you get hushed and we think it might be that because the adults want to keep control that anyone who speaks out against the system or breaks the system gets their spark of life sucked from them or something cruel like that. The main character, Tre, has been moved to a new sector and it’s different to where he used to live,in region G.His parents were hushed and he is really different to everyone else except for a girl called Muse who got hushed because she didn’t build straight white walls out of white things that are like Lego bricks she built other stuff. Because she was hushed she doesn’t do anything now but Tre was at her desk and she had arranged some bricks to spell out run…
